He was predeceased by: his parents, R. J. Murphy and Eula Murphy; and his sister Amanda Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Danna Redditt Murphy; and his children, Frank Murphy (Sharon) of Georgia, Mike Murphy (Sandi) of Tennessee and Ellan Nauss (Frank) of Tennessee. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church or to the American Cancer Society.
