He was predeceased by: his parents, Red Edwards and Daisy Edwards; his son William Clarence Edwards III; and his sister Mary Jeannine Brown. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Edwards; his son James Taylor Edwards (Melanie) of Florence, AL; his daughter-in-law Karen Coble Edwards of Virginia; his grandsons, William Clarence Edwards, IV and James Taylor Edwards, Jr.; his stepgrandson Benton Lee Gallagher; his granddaughters, Daisy Nell Edwards and Ekaterina Grace Edwards; his brother James S. Edwards; his nephew David William Brown (Laura); and his niece Erika Edwards Dunn.
