He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Gilbert and Capitolia Gilbert; and his siblings, David Lawrence Gilbert, Judith Miriam Broad, Janice Gilbert Henry and Joel Michael Gilbert.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Gilbert; his daughter Rachel Montgomery; his son-in-law Tyler Montgomery; and his siblings, Elizabeth Colleen Hands and Brian Franklin Gilbert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
