He is survived by: his wife Claudia Aiken Shar; his children, Christian (Heather), Justin (Mary), Carli (Thomas), Cecelia (Ted) and Zachary Shar-D'Angelo; his grandchildren, Michael, Rachel, Katherine, Riley and Aiken; and his siblings, Frank (Marilyn), Victoria, Carol, Michael (Ann), Mary and Laura. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews.
