Richard Arnold Callahan Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Arnold Callahan of Madison, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Marion Green Dumond; his stepfather Richard Dumond; his father Clifford Callahan; his parents-in-law, Karl Obermeier and Elisabeth Obermeier; his siblings, Robert Dumond, Gerald Dumond and Geraldine Cropley (Ginger); and his son-in-law Harrison Wayne Myers III.
He is survived by: his wife Erika Obermeier Callahan; his children, Marion Myers and Stephen Callahan; his granddaughters, Christina Siniard (Ross), Katelyn Callahan (Joesph Britt), Sierra Holden (Benjamin) and Sydney Callahan; and his great grandchildren, Ila Katherine, Ava, Wayne, Jaxon, Clay and John Rivers.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Spry Funeral Home (804 US Hwy 72 W, Athens, AL 35611).
