He was predeceased by: his wife Maricleia Broza Johnson; his parents, Arthur Johnson and Mildred "Louise" Anderson Johnson; and his brother Gary Johnson. He is survived by: his sisters, Susan Turner (Scott) and Sally Stansik (Jim); his sister-in-law Edicleia Marchant; his sons, Ryan Johnson (Autumn) and Derian Johnson; and his granddaughter Mari Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, he would have desired contributions to his granddaughter and future grandchildren's education.
