He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Garnett and Stella Mae "Jackie" Boger Stiles; and his brother Larry Garnett. He is survived by: his wife Lanett Garnett; his children, Dusty Garnett (Keightley), Marty Garnett (Emily) and Lacy Garnett Johnson; his siblings, Chris Garnett (Amy), Tammy Garnett Moss and Beth Self (Jason); and his grandchildren, Libby, Annie, Charlie, Hope, Maggie, Mabry Garnett and Camden Johnson.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Peck Funeral Home Chapel (1600 Hwy 31 SW, Hartselle, AL 35640).
