He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Matala and Ailret Matala. He is survived by: his wife Sara Matala; his sons, Lee Matala and Mathew Matala (Caroline); his grandchildren, Luke Matala, Connor Matala, Charlotte Matala and Peyton Matala; and his siblings, Maureen Olsen (Stuart) and Joseph Matala (Linda).
