She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Zander" Hodges and Susan Bates Hodges; her husband James Albert Hovis Jr.; her son Gary Albert Hovis; her daughter-in-law Judy Hovis; and her sister Marie Scruggs of Lakeland, FL..
She is survived by: her daughter Myra Hovis Richardson (Ricky) of Madison, AL; her grandsons, Jason Dupree (Tera) of Harvest, AL and Jordan Dupree of Madison, AL; her brother James Hodges (Judy) of Harvest, AL; her sister-in-law Clarice Faye Thomas of Liveoak, FL; and her friend Willie Mae Fletcher of Harvest, AL. She is also survived by dog; and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
