With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnnie Bernice Ashby Crownover (Madison, Alabama), who passed away on November 30, 2018 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John L. Crownover; her son Gary Ross Crownover; and her siblings, Mary Ashby, Velma Ashby Hayes Painter, Woodrow Ashby, James Obra Ashby, Lee Roy Ashby and Robert Walker Ashby.

She is survived by: her daughter Angela Harris (Joseph) of Madison; her daughter-in-law Kathy Kennedy Crownover of Winchester; her grandchildren, Kim (Brett), Lindsey Pittenger (Matt), Jessie Ann Harris and Augustus John Harris; and her great grandchildren, Graham Edward Kmiec and Peter Eliot Kmiec.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
