He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Horton; and his siblings, Roy Lee Honeycutt, Jr. and Mary Ann Honeycutt. He is survived by: his children, John Hervey Honeycutt, Jr. (Terri) of Madison, Jeanne Honeycutt Turner of Madison and Christie Honeycutt Serrano (John) of Huntsville; his grandchildren, Terri Turner Potter (Marcus) of Harvest, AL, John Wesley Turner (Terri Lynn) of Athens, AL, John Hervey Honeycutt, III (Trey) of Madison and Megan Serrano of Huntsville; and his great grandchildren, Evan Potter of Harvest, AL, Ethan Bennefield of Athens, AL, Amber Bowab, Raelynn Potter of Harvest, AL and Willow Bennefield of Athens, AL.. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alabama Children's Home, 1404 16th Avenue, S.E., Decatur, Alabama.
