He is survived by: his son John "Jay" Dernovsek (Kim) of Madison; his granddaughter Laura A. Dernovsek of Huntsville; and his siblings, Esther Biearman, Albin Dernovsek and Arthur Dernovsek. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
