He was predeceased by: his parents, Cooper Waggoner and Maybell Waggoner; his son Joe Waggoner, Jr.; and his brothers, Bobby and Buddy Waggoner.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Waggoner; his daughters, Grace (Hal Winn) and Joy (Jim Green); and his siblings, Kenneth, Jackie, Jerry Waggoner and Mary David. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandsons.
