He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son James S. Filley (Xueping Liu-Filley); his granddaughter Caroline Filley; his brothers, Robert Filley and Cameron Fllley; and his parents, Vernon Filley and Marilyn Filley.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (2766 Navajo Rd, El Cajon, CA 92020).
