It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Hughes Spencer of Madison, Alabama, born in Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Ann Hughes Spencer and Donald Spencer. He is survived by: his sister Patricia Spencer Ryan (Mike); his children, Melissa Spencer Owen (Robert), Carol Spencer Swanson (Bruce), Donald H. Spencer, Jr. (Loree) and Matthew G. Spencer (Alicia); his grandchildren, Jessica Myers, Taylor Owen, Emily Pendlum, Carly Swanson, Nick Spencer, Maddie Spencer and Meighan Winton; and his niece Rachel Ryan. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
