He is survived by: his wife Mary Zerbe Buchanan; his children, Larry, Ken Ortman, Kristine Stacy (Patrick), Kathryn Phonthibsvads (Toi) and Jaime Ehrenberg (Steve); his grandchildren, Ashley, Jordan, Kylee, Logan and Aiden; and his pets, Lexi, Maggie, Libbie and Harley.
