He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmen Ann Cockrill and Charles Edward Bruer. He is survived by: his wife Sally Sigler Bruer; his children, Elizabeth Bruer and Christopher Bruer (Teresa); his sister Annette Tarver (Brent); his grandchildren, Chase, Andrew, Danielle, Aedan, Elijah, Mathieu and Oliver; and his great grandchildren, Chase Jr. (CJ) and Ember.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to the National Kidney Foundation.
