She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Scales, Sr. and Maggie Hundley; and her brothers, Eddie Brown, Willie Scales, Jr., Cleveland Scales and Arthur Scales.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Lamb, Wilbur Scales, Lonnie Scales (Sheryl), Alfred Scales (Minnie), Dwight Scales (Dionne), Cathy Scales, Cinda Feagan (James), Clint Scales, Sr. (Marie) and Shannon Scales; and her sister Mary Bertha Harris. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
