He is survived by: his wife Winona Rushing Pierce; and his children, Charles Pierce, Lewis Pierce (Beth), William Pierce (Debbie), Dolores Pierce Nichols (Danny), Lisa Pierce Arflack (Kevin) and Gail Pierce Floyd (Paul). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to a favorite charity.
