Bernice Pitsis Rush Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Pitsis Rush (Madison, Alabama), who passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Daisy Vibbert; and her siblings, Flora Vibbert, Nora Pike, Colleen Barnett, Ruby Vibbert and Jesse Vibbert.
She is survived by: her husband Curtis Rush Sr.; her children, Mike Pitsis (Cierra Pitsis), Curtis Rush Jr. (Lori Rush) and Lana Weir (Tucker); her grandchildren, Riley Pitsis, Rider Pitsis, Jake Pitsis, Drew Pitsis, Hailey Boyd, Cayden Shepard, Matthew Rush, Saleah and Rhett Weir; and her brother Frank Vibbert. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (1055 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Church (1055 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758). Bernice worked as a student advisor at UAH for 52 years until COVID.
