She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert McBride and Mary Beckman McBride. She is survived by: her husband William M. Fanning; her son Mark Fanning (Jamie); her siblings, Rob McBride, Leo McBride, Tom McBride, Kateri Rodgers and Charlotte Garrie; and her grandchildren, Fiona Fanning and Hendrik Fanning. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Maple Hill Cemetery (202 Maple Hill St SE, Huntsville, AL 35801).
