She was predeceased by: her daughter Mary; and her nephew Christopher Robert Bruce. She is survived by: her children, Col. Thomas Paul Himes, Jr. and Terry Lynn Hecker (Bill); her grandchildren, Emily Lynn Hecker, Matthew Dolfi Hecker (Bailee-Ryan), Thomas Joseph Himes and Nicholas Wyrtki; her brothers, Louis Robert Bruce (Peggy) and Joseph John Bruce, Jr.; her niece Nicole Christine Cone (Jonathan); and her great-nephews, Henry and Oliver.
More recently she was determined to master the internet and her iPad, read all of the books collected on her Kindle, and recently learned what the term "binge-watching" was and became a master during the year-long pandemic of 2020.
