It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Elaine Bowlan of Luverne, Alabama, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Royce Jennings Bowlan; her granddaughter Miranda Wolfe; and her parents, James Aliga and Marion Gray Hilburn Bolding. She is survived by: her children, Sherry Bolding (Kalup Lewis), Jennifer Penn (Scott), Mitchell Bowlan (Martha), Sandra Cook (Marcus), Samuel Bowlan (Kamelia) and James "Bubba" Bowlan (Jessica); her grandchildren, Shawn Bolding, Kimberly Jones (Darian) and Rebecca Penn; and her siblings, Glenda Gail Bolding Willis, Mary Ann Bolding Cantrell, Jerry Larue Bolding, David Lee Bolding and Robert Wayne Bolding. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
