He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Wendell and Annie Sanders Holmes; and his sisters, Jean Buchanan, Marjorie Bodiford and Ruth Duke.
He is survived by: his wife Buena Wilkerson Holmes; his children, Cathy Cox and Tony Holmes (Wanda Dale); his grandchildren, Matt Dean (Emily) and Randi Dean; and his brothers, Clinton Holmes (Thelma), Mickey Holmes (Susan) and Donnie Holmes (Geissla). He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
