She was predeceased by: her husband R. J. Freeman; her son William Richard Mitchell; her parents, John Walter and Lena Simmons Thompson; and her siblings, Willie Maude Lyke, Fred Thompson, Joe Thompson, Harry Thompson, Ivy Thompson and Pat Thompson.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Jessica Holliday and Robyn Jones; her sons, Frank Mitchell and Lloyd Mitchell; and her pet Rosie. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
