She was predeceased by: her husband Elbert Taylor; her parents, Avery Owenby and Marguerite Wood Owenby; and her siblings, Yvonne Thrasher and David Owenby.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Horne (Stuart), Lester Taylor Jr. (Tammy) and Sherry Gilbert (James); her grandchildren, Kyle Horne (Beth), Clay Horne, Colby Horne, Josh Taylor (Amber), Nikki Taylor, Adam Taylor, Audrey Gilbert and Ayrton Gilbert; her great grandchildren, Oakley Horne, Aiden Horne, Wesley Taylor and Maleigha Thrasher; her siblings, Shirley Headley (Tommy), Don Owenby (Mary Alice), Doug Owenby (Marta) and Charles Owenby (Joy); and her close friends, Janice Taylor, Becky Montgomery, Brenda Bowen and Jeanette McVay. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union Baptist Church (69 Post Office Loop, Honoraville, AL 36042). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
