With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joe Rex of Luverne, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joe left this world on January 17, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Willie Rex. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Haley Kunstmann (Max), Holland Pouncey (Jason), John Andress (Ashley) and Susannah Weaver (Hunter); his great grandchildren, Harlow, Pynes Pouncey, Olivia Kunstmann and Ellie; and his brother-in-law Terry Butts (Suze). He is also survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Barbara Butts Sport; their children.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Turners Funeral Home (360 E 3rd St, Luverne, AL 36049). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Patsburg Baptist Church or the Crenshaw County Historical Society.
