He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph S. Childs and Voncile McDonald Childs. He is survived by: his wife Janet Johnson Childs; his children, Christopher Earl Childs, William Andrew Childs and Lisa Jan Wilson (Peter); his grandsons, Dylan Wayne Childs, Dawson Wayde Wilson, Everett Childs, Oliver Childs and Tate Childs; and his friends, Tony, Connie Dunn and Annie Rean Wilson. He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Childs Family Cemetery (Luverne, AL 36049).
