He is survived by: his son Kevin Ashley Childress; his brother Aaron Thompson Childress; his grandchildren, Lacey Childress Murphy (Chris) and Justin Childress; his great grandchild Case Murphy; his nieces and nephews, Paul Artelius Childress, III (Brenda), Kay Childress Wagner (Mike) and Sarah Verona Bertolla Duncan; and also, Rosa Viola Bertolla, Harry B. Childress, Charles A. "Chuck" Childress, Louis George Bertolla, Holly Childress Crawford (Mark) and Troy D. Childress (Jennifer).
