He is survived by: his children, Billy Merchant, Hannah Merchant, Lukas Merchant and Kyler Merchant; his parents, Wayne Merchant and Lorraine Merchant; his sister Carrie Harmon (Jimmy); and his grandmother Lucina Merchant.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
