She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodie Long and Mary Eula Long; her husband Lonnie Greer Godwin; her sons, John Mitchell Godwin and Wayne Godwin; and her siblings, Beulah Payne, Viola Stewart Knapp, Bernell Sanderson, Laurice Long and Luther Long.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Nimrod (Dan), Edward (Jerri), Lonnie (Betty), Barry (Patsy) and Stanley Godwin (Karen); her brother Fred Long; and her siblings-in-law, Edna Davis and Joe Godwin (Lanell). She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a large extended family.
