It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommie Runnels of Louisville, Alabama, born in Magee, Mississippi, who passed away on January 18, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmitt James and Virginia Lee Minnix Runnels; his brothers, Terry James Runnels, Warren Runnels and Gerald Wayne Runnels; and his stepdaughters, Tracy Lynne Runnels and Kelly Jean Garrison.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Smith Runnels of Louisville, AL; his children, Tommy Lee Runnels, Jr., Crystal Lynn Bernhardt of Pensacola, FL and Ginny Leigh Spivey (Darrin); his siblings, Kenneth Charles Runnels (Linda), Raymond Runnels (Marsha), James Clifton Runnels (Flora), Barbara Storman (Rodney), Crystal River and Amanda Welch; and his aunt Sharon Minnix Burton of Louisville, AL. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
