He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lee Denney and Lilla Mae Denney of Milltown, Alabama; and his siblings, Jack Denney of Louisville, LeVerne Denney Chandler Atlanta and Betty Denney Redmon of Alpharetta.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Denney; his children, Jennifer Denney Holmes (Bob) of Birmingham and Jeff Denney of Crestview Flordia; his grandchildren, Ashley Holmes Mendes (J. P.) of Birmingham, Brittney Holmes King (Ryan) of Birmingham, Drew Holmes (Sonora) of Opelika, Blake Denney of Hoover and Sarah Beth Denney of Hoover; his great grandchild J. L. Mendes of Birmingham; and his brother Tom Denney (Sandra) of Clarksville. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Instead of flowers, the family request donations to St. Jude Research Hospital for children or the Big Oak Ranch in Franklin's memory.
