It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Essie Long (Louisville, Alabama), who passed away on April 17, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Payne and Pearl Stephens; her husband Dade Long; her children, Dade Long, Jr., Elsie Hiller and Jean Allen; and her sons-in-law, Lance Clark, Ted Hiller and Walt Dermody.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Booher (Terry) of Navarre, FL, Wanda Dermody of Cocoa, FL, Janice Clark of Louisville, Cathy Cox (Robert) of Clio and Andy Long (Beth) of Clio; her sister Grace Long; and also Diane Blackmon. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

COVID-19 precautions will be implemented during this public gathering by maintaining a six-foot distance between attendees.
