He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rufus Simmons and Vona Leigh Coffman Simmons; his wife Virginia Kennemur Simmons; his daughter Nancy Vinson; his great grandchild Konner Hewitt; and his children, Harold Simmons (Ann), Charlotte Ann Simmons and Edwin Simmons (Charlotte). He was also cherished by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, two sisters, and beloved friends.
