It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Marie Griffin Walden (Locust Fork, Alabama), born in Prospect, Tennessee, who passed away on December 16, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Griffin and Ruby Ward Griffin; and her brother James A. Griffin. She is survived by: her husband Thomas E. Walden; her children, Alice Higginbotham (Rodney), Mary Cummings (Eddie), Mike Walden (Lynn) and Gail Burgett (Robin); her grandchildren, Amy Miller (Cary), Kelly Foster (Patrick), Tommy Cummings (Lindy), Alex Burgett (Brittney), Lane Walden, Garrett Walden (Katherine), Austin Burgett and Haleigh Walden; her great grandchildren, Sarabeth Miller, Gary Foster (Brittani), Karlee Foster, John David Miller, Bryleigh Cummings, Ethan Cummings, Ryan Foster, Sawyer Cummings, Henry Walden, Bowen Burgett, Eleanor Walden and Phoebe Walden; her brother Albert Griffin (Irene); and her sister-in-law Winifred Griffin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
