He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace P. Spidle and Inell Mott Spidle; his wife Florence Elliott Spidle; his son Wallace P. Spidle, III; and his siblings, Charles Edward Spidle, Sarah Shumate and Barbara Howington.
He is survived by: his son Steven Douglas Spidle of Belmont, AL; his nieces, JoAnn Garrett, Cynthia Cooper and Shelia Shumate of Livingston, AL; and his great-niece Courtney Cooper Gipson.
