He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Wimbley and Wilma Wimbley; and his sister Ruby Ruffin (Willie J.). He is survived by: his wife Geraldine P. Wimbley; his children, Steve Wimbley (Burnette), Kenneth Wimbley, Willie David Wimbley, Jr. (Asha), Cornelius Coleman, Latisa Spears (Calvin) and Pamela Spears (Ronnie); his godsons, Marcus Keeton (Charlikis) and Lashawn Hardy (Jessica); his grandchildren, Falencia Williams, Miatia Eddie, Kashae Spears, Keena Wimberly, Destiny Anderson, Ta'Naya Wimberly, Amaya Carswell, Marquel Spears and Willie David Wimberly III; his great grandchildren, Za'Haiti Davidson, Hailey Owens and Kinsley Jones; his siblings, Melvina Adams (late Henry), Helen Mitchell (Michael) and Marvin Whitted (Tiffany); and his friends, Raymond Duff and Marvin Fox. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
