He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wesley Sr. and Lucille Wilson Rembert. He is survived by: his children, Latrese Perkins of Pearl, MS, Michael Jr. Rembert (Leisa) of Lebanon, TN, Marcus Rembert of Hartsville, TN, Bakarri Rembert of Shubuta, MS and Jeramiah Martinez-Rembert of Lebanon, TN; his grandchildren, Darius, Kaleb, Ayden, Jaylyn, Jayla, Kali, Bradley and Bailee; his great grandchild Kacey; his sisters, Barbara Graves of Jacksonville, FL, Lendia Rembert of Butler, AL, Johnnie Sue Hollis of Cincinnati, OH and Wilhelmenia Herron (Gary) of Dayton, OH; his friends, Maye Thomas, Jr., Howard and Brent Koen; and his cousin William "Head" McIntosh Jr.. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
He departed this life for eternal rest on December 19, 2020 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, MS.
