Joe David Carter Obituary

Service for Joe David Carter, 77, were held Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00am at Shiloh C.M.E. Church in Lisman, Alabama whit Bishop Ronald Williams officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Joe was born February 18, 1941 to the late Job David Carter and Annie Lee Coleman. He departed this life on September 19, 2018.

He was preceded in death by all of his siblings. Joe received Christ at an early age and joined Shady Grove CME Church in Cromwell. He later moved to Milwaukee, WI and joined New Jerusalem under the leadership of the late Bishop Stewart. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Katie Carter; daughters, Patricia Ann (Terry Lee), Linda (Rollie) Hutchinson, and Valerie Nash, all of Milwaukee, WI; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; a special sister-in-law, Regena Bryant; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Ronald Williams; and a special niece & husband, Annie and Dexter Slay.

He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
