He was predeceased by: his former wife Angela Lankford Bonner; his father Curtis Lee Bonner, Sr.; his grandparents, McKinley, Ida Mae Kirksey Bonner, David and Mattie Jones Tyson; his aunt Virginia McDuffie; and his uncles, Freeman Bonner, Townsurel Tyson, Frank Tyson, George Tyson, Hayse Tyson, Lincoln Tyson and Joe Bonner.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Tyson Bonner; his wife Helen King; his stepchildren, Haven Melton of Leroy, AL and Halle Melton of Leroy, AL; his siblings, Reginald (Bobbie), Curtis, Jr. (Latonia), Avary of Butler, AL and Shannon of Lisman, AL; his aunts, Josephine Lassiter, Sallie Hill (Robert), Willie Mae Miller, Susie Edwards (David), Geneva Ray, Mable Tyson, Pearlie Tyson, Catherine Tyson, Lora Mae Walker, Vona Mae Thrash, Bonnie Robinson, Faye Bonner and Nancy Wells; and his close friends, Nathaniel Baker of Clyde, C. J., Mack and Jimmy King. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
