It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oscar Wayne Bond Jr. of Lineville, Alabama, born in Alexander City, Alabama, who passed away on January 24, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Bond and Melissa Bond; and his sisters, Sara Will and Ella Ree. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Bond; his daughters, Barbara Engle (Terry) and Pam Wiley; his grandchildren, Pamela Chavez (Miguel), Brad Keef (Lauren), Hali Averette (Justin) and Tiffany Battle (LaShamian); and his great grandchildren, Emma Keef, Dante, Jacob Norris, Elaina Chavez, Cam, Carter Battle, Cory and Tasha Green. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home - Lineville (89076 AL-9, Lineville, AL 36266). The lying in state was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Spring Hill Christian Church (191 Washington St, Lineville, AL 36266). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Springhill Christian Church.
