He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby Lee Prickett; his granddaughter Hope Faith Maples; and his sister Janice Truitt. He is survived by: his sons, Shaun Maples (Marivel) of Ashland and Jody Maples (Angel) of Lineville; his grandchildren, Alana Maples, Bradley McNair and Allen McNair; and his siblings, Rebecca Mathews (Anthony) of Ashland, James Terry Maples (Cheryl) of Ashland and Michael Lee Maples (Monica) of Wadley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home-Ashland (85499 AL-9, Ashland, AL 36251). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
