With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iris Hobbs Bowden of Lineville, Alabama, born in Brunswick, Georgia, who passed away on September 11, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harlan H. Hobbs and Myrtle Highsmith Hobbs; her husband Samuel J. Bowden; and her siblings, Sonny Hobbs and Nelma Finch.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra J. Thomas of Oxford, Donna Smith (Steve) of Ashland and Bruce Bowden (Peggy) of Newell; and her grandchildren, Susan Thomas of Oxford, Beth Wilson (Robert) of Alpharetta, GA, Chris Smith of Ashland, Brad Smith (Maggie) of Ashland and Bart Smith of Pell City. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
