He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Nix and Lorene Hardy Nix; and his former wife Alice Nix. He is survived by: his wife Robin Nix of Lineville; and his children, Barbara Southers of Lineville, Hubert Mitchell of Lineville and Billy Mitchell of Alexander City. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
