He was predeceased by: his former wife Janice Boatright; his parents, James Boatright and Nellie Knott Greier; and his siblings, Alan Boatright and Sharon Philyaw.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Libbey" Hampton; his children, Sam Randal Boatright, Timmy Mitchell and Heidi Schramm (Ray Ayers); his grandchildren, Kaylee Boatright, Rylee Ayers, Kenn Royal Butler and Channing Butler; and his brothers, Ronnie Knott and Johnny Milligan.
