He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Anne Wright Edwards; his children, Connie Loraine Edwards Turner (Michael), Christie Lynn Edwards Camp (Charles), James Brewster Edwards and David Brewster Edwards (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Yevett Lee Edwards, Jillian Sumer Redding, Kenneth Brewster Edwards, Juliet Anna Redding Holtsclaw and Savannah Lee Edwards; and his sister Jan Beth Edwards Dennard.
