She was predeceased by: the father of her children Frank Roden, Jr.; her parents, Horace Hicks and Alma Puckett Hicks; her daughter Shirley Roden; her siblings, Marion Hicks and Charlene Smith; and her son-in-law Randy Cowan.
She is survived by: her daughter Betty Lawrence (Joe) of Fayetteville, TN; her sister Ann Parham of Huntsville, AL; her sister-in-law Anna Jean Hicks of Ardmore, AL; her grandchildren, Tina Hudson (Michael) of Fayetteville, TN and Stacy Loftin (Dave) of Vestavia, AL; her great grandchildren, Trevor Hudson (Leah) of Chattanooga, TN, Tanner Hudson of Fayetteville, TN, Abigail Loftin, Will Loftin and Ella Loftin of Vestavia, AL; and her great great grandchildren, Esther and Gideon Hudson of Chattanooga, TN. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Hands of Mercy Outreach Center of Fayetteville, Tennessee.
