Brenda Lea (Thompson) Fredona Obituary

Brenda Lea Thompson-Fredona, 63, passed away on April 11, 2024 after a battle with leukemia. Brenda was born on October 26, 1960 to Loren and Mildred Thompson in Olney, IL. Her family moved to Oakwood, IL where she graduated from Oakwood High School in 1979. She worked as a Court Clerk for the Lake County and Champaign County Circuit Clerk for 20 years before her retirement. Brenda was married to Richard Fredona on May 26, 2006. They had recently built their retirement home in Lincoln, Alabama.

Brenda loved to travel, and she was always up to a new family trip. She also made it known that she loved the Lord and had a relationship with Jesus. Her faith was strong, and she was a prayer warrior for anyone who reached out to her.

Brenda was survived by her mother, her mother-in-law Lorraine Fredona, her husband, and two sons, Justin Manasco (Ashley Capps) and Nathan Manasco. She also had three step-children: Nick (Megan) Fredona, Erin (Cody) Smith, and Louis (Amber) Fredona. Brenda was blessed with ten grandchildren whom she truly adored and loved to spend time with: Shane, Kira, Hayven, Jaxson (Manasco), Sienna, Emersen, Shayelin, Caden (Smith), Norah and Charlotte (Fredona).

Brenda was deeply loved by her siblings: Carla (Steve) Murray, Craig (Janet) Thompson, Patty (Frank) Childress, Corlis (Mike) Bennett, Donna (Jeromie) Camp, and Bobbi (Chad) Conner and many nieces and nephews. Her absence leaves a huge hole in her entire family, but they are comforted knowing she is resting in the arms of her loving Lord and Savior.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents, Dudley and Clara Thompson and Samuel and Bessie Palmer.

A memorial service will be held at Vermilion Heights Christian Church in Danville, Illinois on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00. All are welcome to come remember Brenda and celebrate her life.
