He was predeceased by: his wife Lenora Kempter; and his siblings, Robert, Chuck, Herbert, William and Theresa Ekelund.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Lee Tobey (Bob) of Lillian, Lorraine Russell of Lillian and Kevin Donald Kempter of New York; and his granddaughter Lindsey Lauer (Adam) of Reno, Nevada. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; along with other loving relatives and friends.
